Pink

Pink noise mix reference generator

Hello – Before you download a free pink noise plugin, please check out our new Devious Machines multi-effect Infiltrator.

It’s a lot of fun.

We had so much fun making presets for it that we made 750 of them. So much fund that we nearly forgot to launch it. Graphyt (who makes mad dubstep and got access to the beta) dropped us a mail to say he was “speechless”. Which I think means he liked it a lot.

And, if audio fireworks aren’t your thing it also sounds great on my guitar too. Click here to have a quick look at the product page, or you could watch Venus Theory (who has an amazing radio voice) explain it better than I can.

Then when you’ve done that … get your copy of pink by clicking one of the buttons below. – Thanks!

Jim Credland.

  • Generates pink noise for use as a mix reference.
  • Variable master output level, and soft on/off switch, so the pink noise doesn’t hurt your ears.
  • It’s free and it’s pink!
  • Removes doubt from the mixing process and helps you get a decent result quickly.

If you weren’t born with golden hears referencing against pink noise makes mixing easier.

Follow the instructions below or watch one of the many videos on youtube about this handy technique.

Instructions

  • Put Pink on your master channel.
  • Set the noise level to a good reference point.
  • Use the master level so that the pink noise is at a comfortable listening volume.
  • Solo each channel in turn and adjust the level so you can only just hear it over the pink noise
